When it comes to DUI laws, Texas courts treat the incident as a misdemeanour or felony, each of which carries its own punishment, according to the circumstances and level of severity. When implementing DUI laws, Texas courts can put someone away for up to six months on their first offense!

Did you know that when dealing with DUI laws, Texas authorities have the right to jail someone under a Class A misdemeanor if they are caught driving under the influence the second time around? Now that's sobering food for thought. It wouldn't be wise to be caught first time round but if you're caught THIRD time round, when implementing DUI laws, Texas courts will have the right to put you away for up to ten years. Ten years! Now that's tough. DUI laws, Texas style - as tough as they come!
